The phone I completely overlooked while it was still relevant. It was a time when fashion models still existed, created as a means of self-expression in addition to being a communication tool.

Overall, the unique design of the PEBL U6 was not widely appreciated, and the model remained overshadowed by the more successful RAZR V3. I even remember many mobile phone stores having special promotions for the U6 simply because they couldn’t sell them. Yet, this model had a lot to offer.

It might seem that the Motorola PEBL U6 is just another flip phone among many, but it has a unique trick up its sleeve: a magnetic opening mechanism. Holding this smooth pebble in your hand, you can press its top edge with your thumb and pull it towards you, and the cover will spring open, revealing the display. I assure you, this sensation is hard to compare with anything else. Motorola of that time lagged behind competitors in many ways, but certainly not in design.

Technically, the phone is almost identical to the Motorola RAZR V3, except perhaps for the external display, which is integrated into the overall style.
